James McEwan MSocSc PhD
James is a behaviour analyst. He worked for over 30 years teaching and researching in both the experimental analysis of behaviour and applied behaviour analysis at the University of Waikato, Hamilton. NZ.
He trained students to work with people with disabilities and challenging behaviour from a behavioural perspective.
He has experience in teaching people how to read and assess published psychological research and in teaching developmental psychology.
James trained in Psychology at the Universities of Canterbury and Waikato, gaining his PhD in Psychology through the University Waikato.
Mary Foster MSc DipClinPsych PhD
Mary is a behaviour analyst and registered psychologist. She taught and researched in behaviour analysis at the University of Waikato, Hamilton, NZ, for over 40 years. She has helped train many students to work as psychologists in a wide range of areas and with many different types of clients.
She has experience in teaching both experiential and applied behaviour analysis, behavioural and psychological assessment, and clinical psychology with a behavioural approach (especially the application of behaviour analysis including more recent behaviour therapies (such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)). Mary has supervised and taught those working with people with a wide range of problems, including challenging behaviour.
Mary gained her PhD in Psychology and did her professional training in Clinical Psychology through the University of Auckland.
